"Hellooo everyoneee! It’s your girl Aashvika Bansal with thoda sa drama, thodi si masti and full-on vibes only! Sooo, kaise ho sab? Aaj ka special episode hai...Mummy ki daant ft. ME. To aaiye shuru karte hain!"
Aashvika said these lines dramatically, looking at herself in the mirror as if she was filming a vlog.
But suddenly, a sharp shouting voice came from outside the room.
"Aashvi, School da time ho gya hai! Chedi aaaa!!"
(Aashvi, It's time for school! Come fast!!)
She instantly recognized the voice because it was her mother, yelling from downstairs.
"Tu aani hai thalle ke main aawan utte?!" Her mother shouted again.
(Are you coming downstairs or should I come up?!)
"Ess ghar vich do minute kise nu vi shanti ni mil di."
Aashvika thought irritably in her mind.
(In this house no one has peace for even two minutes.)
"Aaagiiii!" she shouted back in a panicked voice.
(Coming!)
"Chal Aashi meri jaan, lag jaa kaam pe"
(Aashi my dear, let's get to work)
Aashvika said to herself in the mirror, like she was going on some mission.
She quickly changed out of her bathrobe into her school uniform, slipped on her shoes and started walking outside her room. Just as she stepped out of her room, something struck her mind.
She turned back, ran to her study table, bent down, and opened the drawer.
From inside, she carefully took out a letter tucked between her books. Without wasting a second, she stuffed it into her school bag and finally went downstairs.
"What took you so long to come down?" her mother asked in a questioning tone.
"Uh… actually I was just checking my bag if I forgot anything" Aashvika replied hurriedly.
"Eh jehe kaam na raat nu karke rakhne chahide ne" her mother taunted.
(Such work should be done by night only)
"Haanjii…" Aashvika said, lowering her eyes.
(Yess...)
"Chal ja, the driver is waiting outside," her mother said firmly.
(Now go, the driver is waiting outside)
"Haanji...byeee!" Aashvika replied enthusiastically.
"Haan haan, ja hun" her mother answered half-heartedly, almost ignoring her.
(Yes yes, go now)
Her cheerful face fell a little. She picked up her bag and quietly walked outside.
"Namaste uncle" she greeted the driver politely with folded hands.
"Namaste beta" the driver replied with a warm smile.
Aashvika slid into the car and closed the door. As the car started moving, a faint smile crept onto her face as she got lost in a world of her own, thinking about something or maybe someone special.
